Published three times a year by Johns Hopkins University Press, South Central Review is the official journal of the scholars, students, and members of the South Central Modern Language Association.
While featuring the scholarship of organization members, SCRev also strives to address current issues of cultural and literary importance. To that end, special issues have been offered such as: Spain Modern and Postmodern at the Millenium (ed. Janet Pérez [Spring-Summer 2001]), Whose Body?: Recognizing Feminist Mystery and Detective Fiction (eds. Pamela R. Matthews and Mary Ann O'Farrell [Fall-Winter 2001]), and 9/11 (Summer-Fall 2002) to name just a few.
In addition to special issues, regular readers can find article clusters on important topics, for example: "Heidegger and de Man Revisited," "Literature after Revolution," "Eudora Welty," and "Teaching French." As always, South Central Review's regular issues offer essays on a variety of topics in the field of literary studies.
South Central Review is proud to be offered in print or digital versions through John Hopkins University Press, Project MUSE, and JSTOR.
